| Alex Lundqvist was born on April 14, 1972. He is a self-assured Swede, alluring, accomplished and considerate. He's also one of the top male models in the world, remembered for his unforgettable GUESS? advertising images.Alex had a Swedish liberal idyllic childhood which came abruptly to an end at eighteen with the obligatory one-year national service in Sweden's army. Transformed into a tank platoon commander, the quiet blue-eyed boy had to shave his head so often that he swore that when he came out, he'd never shave again. From that was born the mischievous arrangement of facial hair that would become his insignia.As one of today's top male models, Alex Lundqvist appears in countless fashion magazines, and walks the biggest designer's runways. In February 1995 Alex did runway shows in Paris, Milan and New York for Valentino, Versace, Armani, Gucci and Calvin Klein. In April he appeared in the Lagerfield campaign with Nadja Auermann and less than a week later he was chosen for the 1995 GUESS? campaign with Laetitia Casta and Valeria Mazza. For the next two years, from 1995 to 1997, Alex appeared in a number of GUESS? campaigns and television commercials.Now considered a top male supermodel, he's appeared in magazines such as Elle, Top Model, Paper Magazine, GQ, Playgirl and New York Magazine and interviewed on MTV's House of Style with his best friend and fellow model, Mark Vanderloo. Currently living in New York and working for a number of designers, Alex wants to continue traveling and modeling, describing himself as a nice individual who loves life. | |||||||||||||
