| Russian superstar Alsou has already lived a life it would be impossible to invent. She has changed the face of popular music in her home country, made her big screen debut, forged a new life in three different countries, starred in her own couture fashion shoot in Russian Vogue and, most importantly of all, written a stunning album set to show the rest of the world what they've been missing out on. At just 5 years old, Alsou begged for a piano on the condition that she would attend music school to learn it. A fiercely independent soul even at that young age, she would walk the half hour trek across town by herself to get to her music lessons. By 10, having moved first to Moscow when her father started to grow his business, then later to New York to go to school, she had started entertaining friends with her singing as well, after hearing and mimicking a Mariah Carey song. Despite not knowing a word of English when she first moved to America, Alsou mastered the language within weeks of arriving and adjusted well to a completely new life. | |||||||||||||
