Brooke Burke was born in Hartford, Connecticut to Donna and George Burke and is the oldest of nine kids. She attended high school in Tucson, Arizona. After she graduated, she studied broadcast journalism at UCLA. In between classes, she signed with some of the top modeling agencies including Ford, Wilhemina and Cunningham-Escott Dipene.

She started out as a model for Venus Swimwear and Frederick's of Hollywood, going on to grace tons of magazines, catalogs and posters. Other credits for her include Coca-Cola, Ballys and Anheusier-Busch commercials. Her break into television came when she began hosting "Wild On!" for E! Entertainment Television from 1992 until 2002, traveling to exotic destinations and interacting with various locals.

Burke is no stranger to nudity, appearing early in her career on the website BlueNudes and then later in Playboy in May of 2001 and November of 2004. Other magazines such as Maxim, Stuff, and FHM also featured photo spreads. The magazine Blender named Burke in 2007 as one of the hottest women n film and television.

In 2006, Burke returned to television and began hosting reality series "Rock Star" on CBS where contestants compete to become the lead for a rock band.

Burke has also been involved in other side projects such as an infomercial for Gunner Peterson's Core Secrets and appearing in the first video of the series. She also lent her voice and face to "Need for Speed: Underground 2" as "Rachel Teller" for the Nintendo and Playstation games developed by Electronic Arts.

In 2007, Burke formed Baboosh Baby, a company that designs wraps for pregnant women and features a blog from Burke on the company website about kids.

Brooke won fans and gained more popularity after winning Season 7 of "Dancing with the Stars" with partner Derek Hough. In 2009, she was the host of the 66th Annual Golden Globes, hosting alongside Nancy O'Dell and Tiki Barber.

Burke married in 2001, to a plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, but the two divorced in 2006. They have two girls together, Neriah and Sierra Sky.

In August of 2006, Burke became engaged to actor David Charvet and they currently have two children together, a daughter Heaven Rain born in 2007 and a son, Shaya Braven born in 2008.
