Christopher Chace Crawford, best known for his role as Nate Archibald in The CW's "Gossip Girl," grew up in Texas. He moved to Malibu to attend Pepperdine University, where he struggled to find his career path.

His mother encouraged him to pursue acting while he was midway through his second year, saying it was a practical choice since his career aptitude test in high school revealed he was best suited in the performing arts.

In 2006, he appeared in the TV movie, "Long Lost Son" from Lifetime network, wherein he portrayed Gabrielle Anwar's son. Also in the same year, he starred in the horror film "The Covenant."

He got his big break when "Gossip Girl" premiered in 2007. He plays Nate Archibald, one of the major characters of the show. The role also won him the Choice TV Breakout Star Male at the 2008 Teen Choice Award.

Crawford will be next seen in "Loaded," alongside Jesse Metcalf, Taylor Cole and Monica Keena, and in the indie film, "The Haunting of Molly Hartley."
