Emmy Award-winning actress Christina Applegate was born on November 25, 1971 to record producer Robert W. Applegate and singer/actress Nancy Lee Priddy. She made her acting debut at the very young age of 3 months when she appeared with her mother in "Days of Our Lives."

At age 9, Applegate made her silver screen debut in the 1981 films "Jaws of Satan" and "Beatlemania." She then appeared in various TV shows and series including "Heart of the City" from 1986 to 1987.

But it was in 1987 that she landed her most memorable on TV to date. She scored the role of obtuse Kelly Bundy in the Fox sitcom "Married... with Children." Applegate worked in the series for ten years while appearing in other TV shows as a guest star.

The actress eventually got her first starring role in the comedy film "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" in 1991. The movie is the start of Applegate's film career including roles in 1995's "Wild Bill" and 1996's "Mars Attacks!"

In 1998, NBC network has cast her in the sitcom "Jesse" as the title role. She won a People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Performer in a New TV Series and the TV Guide Award for Star of a New Series for the role. The show was canceled two years later.

Her guest role in the hit former sitcom "Friends" in 2003 as Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) younger sister Amy Green had won her the 55th Annual Prime Time Emmy Award for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy.

She is currently starring in the ABC comedy series "Samantha Who?" in which she plays the title character who after a hit-and-run accident, developed amnesia and found out she doesn't like her life before.

Applegate had been once married to her longtime actor/director boyfriend Johnathon Schaech in 2001 to 2005. Schaech cited irreconcilable differences on their divorce papers.
