Ellen Page was born on February 21, 1987 to Martha Philpotts and Dennis Page in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After graduating from the Shambhala School in 2005, Page spent two years in Toronto studying in the Interact Program at the Vaughan Road Academy. Fellow Canadian actor Mark Rendall also studied at the Interact Program when Page was there.

Page's career took off after her star making performance in "Juno." Page played the title character in the quirky 2007 comedic drama about an unplanned teenage pregnancy. For her role in "Juno," Page was nominated for an Academy Award For Best Actress, and won an Independent Spirit Award and Satellite Award.

The actress's next film was "Smart People," which was released in 2008. She will also appear in "Peacock" with Susan Sarandon, Bill Pullman and Josh Lucas, as well as appearing in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut entitled "Whip It!."

Page currently resides in her hometown of Halifax with her dog named Patti.
