| Esther Baxter rose to prominence after being featured in the music video for Petey Pablo's single "Freek-A-Leak" in 2004. Since then, she has appeared in many videos, including Ludacris's "Number One Spot", Will Smith's "Switch", and Kanye West's "The New Workout Plan". In addition to video success, she's also been in a number of magazines, such as VIBE, King, and XXL. As far as she is concerned, it her "time to shine." Smooth Girl magazine states Esther Baxter's explosion is "the second coming [Ford being the first]," putting Baxter in the ranks of Melyssa Ford. She was also been named Eye candy of The Year in 2004. Baxter does not consider everything an "instant success," because of a number of other jobs she had done (Da Book interview). Because of her success, Baxter commands 00 a day minimum for a videoshoot. Since becoming a Hip Hop videogirl, she has become famous in large part because of her body. According to her own words, she is not shy when it comes to her body. In fact, she is proud of her measurements, which stand at 34DDD-24-40 [Baxter, Esther. When asked by XXL in their January-February issue of 2004 if she is comfortable with her body, she replied with "Oh yeah, I love myself." She feels that a videogirl like herself must be comfortable with her body in order to be successful in the industry. Baxter also says that "people will tell" a videogirl to essentially work on her body, such as getting surgery on certain bodyparts.
