Mike Myers was born on May 25, 1963 in Liverpool, England, but moved with his family to Scarborough, Ontario when he was just an infant. Myers began his acting career at a young age, appearing in his first TV commercial at age nine.

After graduating from high school in 1982, Myers began touring with a Canadian comedy company Second City. In 1985, Myers moved to the United Kingdom and co-founded The Comedy Store Players, an improvisational group based at The Comedy Store in London.

Starting in 1989, Myers joined the cast of NBC's Saturday Night Live, creating many beloved characters including Wayne Campbell from Wayne's World. Myer's and comedian Dana Carvey adapted Wayne's World into a full-length movie. Due to the success of the original, a sequel, Wayne's World 2, was released the next year.

In 1997, Myers starred in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, introducing the world to Austin Powers and spurring two more movies; Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember. Myers also starred in the 2001 film Shrek, playing the title character and reprised that role in Shrek 3-D, Shrek 2, Shrek The Third and Shrek The Halls. Most recently, Myer's starred in The Love Guru; the film was met with universally poor reviews.

Mike Myers married Robin Ruzan in 1993 after meeting her at a bar. The couple divorced in 2005.
