Born on April 17, 1974 in Hertfordshire, England, Victoria Caroline Adams was the first child for electronics engineer Antony Adams and his wife Jacqueline. With the success of their electrical warehouse business, the couple were able to provide a wealthy and comfortable upbringing for their future pop star daughter and her two siblings, Louise and Christian.

Victoria attended St. Mary's High School in Chestnut, wherein she confessed she felt like an outsider for being rich. She claimed she was often a victim of bullying from the school kids and that she had no friends.

After watching the musical "Fame" at the age of seven, she realized that she wanted to be famous. Her parents enrolled her in Jason Theater School in Enfield. She continued her schooling at the Laine Theater Arts College in Surrey to study dance and modeling when she turned 17.

Victoria joined an all-girl pop group called "Touch" in 1994 after answering an ad in 1993 that was searching for ambitious and talented girls. The group was later renamed "Spice Girls," and that's when things started rolling out for the future fashionista.

She became famous as "Posh Spice" in the group, whose first single "Wannabe" went to number one in the U.K. and the U.S. The girls, composed of "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton, "Scary Spice" Melanie Brown, "Sporty Spice" Melanie Chisholm, and "Ginger Spice" Geri Halliwell, enjoyed worldwide success with over fifty-five million records sold worldwide. They became one of the most successful pop acts of the 90s.

The band disbanded in 2000, two years after Halliwell decided to leave the group. Victoria then re-entered the music scene as a solo artist, garnering moderate but far from the group's success.

Back in 1997, Victoria started dating footballer David Beckham after meeting him at a charity football match. Their first son, Brooklyn Joseph, was born in March 1999. The couple, dubbed "Posh and Becks," married in Ireland on July 4 that year.

Two more sons followed their union: Romeo James, born in September 2002, and Cruz David, born in February 2005.

The world-famous soccer mom also became known as an international style icon. She was often seen at fashion events; she designed a limited-edition line for Rock & Republic, became the British ambassador for Dolce and Gabbana and and briefly became the face of Rocawear. She won two British Glamour Magazine Awards that celebrated her fashion achievements.

Posh's "Learning to Fly" autobiography in September 2001 became the third best-selling non-fiction of 2001. Her other book, fashion advice guide "That Extra Half and Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between" also became another bestseller.

Victoria and her equally famous husband currently reside in Los Angeles as a result of David's contract with the L.A. Galaxy. She and David became the 616th richest person in Britain in 2008.
