Love ‘n’ wedding is in the air for Selita Ebanks:

Selita Ebanks may know how to strut on the runway, but the Victoria's Secret model admits she'll need some help with her trip down the aisle to Wild 'N Out star Nick Cannon.

"I was never that girl who dreamed of her wedding day," Ebanks, 24, told PEOPLE at an Entertainment Weekly party for its Ultimate Must List in New York City Thursday night.

"I'm learning all about [weddings]. The whole something new, something blue. This is all new to me, so I'm all about the wedding planner!"

Ebanks says she and Cannon, 26, are taking their time preparing for the big day and are aiming to wed "in a year and a half to two years."

But they maintain their differing views so far as their vision of the big day is concerned: "As you can tell by the ring" – Cannon proposed in May with a 12-carat diamond – "he's all about the bling and having a big wedding. Me? I'm all about the courthouse," she says.

But one thing is certain: The couple will celebrate the big day, that is when it arrives, with their families, including the relatives who have their own monikers for the bride. "They already gave me little nicknames," Ebanks says of Cannon's family. "His grandfather calls me Toledo. I don't know where he got it from. I think he heard wrong when Nick told him my name. But I love him to death, he's so sweet."

Although Cannon couldn't attend the EW party (he was working in L.A., according to Ebanks), the Drumline actor shows his affection even when he's not around. "He'll leave little love notes on the refrigerator. He writes the most beautiful words," she says. "I fall in love every single time he does something like that." Some lovey-dovey couple there. sigh!!
