Vegan Lunch Only At Heather Mills House

Heather Mills' builders are disappointed after discovering she won't serve meat in the special Christmas lunch she has promised them.

Strict vegan Heather, the estranged wife of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, had offered to treat all the builders, carpenters and plumbers currently working on her multi-million-pound Sussex home to a festive meal with all the trimmings.

However, the workers are no longer looking forward to the feast because they realised it will be strictly vegan after one builder had a look in Heather's industrial freezer.

The workman is quoted as saying: "We couldn't believe we were getting a slap-up meal. But it's all strictly vegetarian - they've just shaped the stuff to look like turkey. What's the point of that? "It's all in individual packs. All she has to do is warm them up."

The 15 workmen have agreed to take up Heather's generous offer - despite the tofu turkey - as long as they can enjoy a few festive drinks.

He added: "We will choke it down. After all, Heather's not against alcohol. Apparently there's going to be plenty to drink. "With most people we're lucky if we get a cup of tea."
