Disney star Ashley Tisdale apologizes to her fans for missing the Miami and Philadelphia shows last weekend due to her recent nose surgery.
The High School Musical star had a rhinoplasty procedure last November 30 to correct a severely deviated septum and fractured nasal bones realigned.
"When my surgery was scheduled, we didn't think it would be necessary to cancel the shows because my doctor thought I would heal in time. Unfortunately, the deviated septum was more significant than we originally thought so the healing process is taking longer," the 22-year-old actress writes on her Web site.
Still, Tisdale had flown to the scheduled gigs with the rest of the crew hoping she would make it onstage but then "had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances."
She didn't perform at the Z-100 Jingle Ball in New York on Friday but she had made an appearance to sign autographs.
Although she had a plastic surgery, Tisdale insisted it was not for cosmetic purposes. She had said she never want to have plastic surgery again because, "I don't believe in plastic surgery. I think natural is more beautiful. This was not about changing me. I am comfortable with myself."
