t.A.T.u. Singer Gives Birth

One-half of Russian singing sensation t.A.T.u. Yulia Volkova gives birth to a son December 27, according to the duo's web site.

"This morning at 6:35 a.m. Yulia Volkova's son was born! The birth went fast and without difficulties. Both mother and baby feel good," the web site reads.

22-year-old Volkova had apparently gone to bed at 2 a.m. and was awakened two hours later by labor pains. With her during the birth was the baby's father, Parviz Yasinov. "He didn't leave her for a second and cut the cord off himself," the web site says. "The boy looks a lot like Daddy - as it should be. Yulia and Parviz keep the baby's name in a secret."

This is the second child of Volkova. She has a 3-year-old named Viktoria Pavlovna Volkova, who was born September 23, 2004, to another man.

The other member of t.A.T.u. is Lena Katina. The two was first marketed as lesbian lovers although it was apparent in 2003 that their sexuality was just part of the group's image at that time.
