The wife of comedian star Jerry Seinfeld was sued for plagiarism, in a case that also named the "Bee Movie" star himself in the complaint.
Jessica Seinfeld was sued for plagiarizing a cookbook. The recipes and concepts presented in Mrs. Seinfeld's cookbook "Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating" allegedly bear some striking similarities to some of those in Missy Chase Lapine's "The Sneaky Chef."
Lapine has also accused Jerry of defamation after he called her crazy during a visit to David Letterman's show.
The complaint charges include Jerry Seinfeld's launching of a malicious, premeditated, and knowingly false and defamatory attack on Lapine. Also, he tagged the author as angry and hysterical; then compared her to the kind of wackos that had previously stalked Letterman.
The comedian also added that Lapine was a "three-name woman" and that "if you read history, many of the three-name people do become assassins."
