Scott Baio Reveals His Wife Lost One Of Their Twins

Scott Baio admits the birth of daughter Bailey DeLuca in November was not a totally blissful event. The former Charles in Charge star admits to Entertainment Tonight that he and wife Renee Sloan lost Bailey's twin early in the pregnancy.

"We were lying in bed and there was a problem so we rush to the hospital and the doctor looks at her and says, 'I'm sorry, you're miscarrying.' Last year was a rough, very rough year," Baio said.

Adding up to that fateful event was the death of his father, Mario. He passed away even before he learned they are pregnant with twins. "She told me, 'We're having twins,' and I went down on the floor. I was emotionally shot."

Sloan says that aside from miscarriage, she had delivered Bailey five weeks early. "I was on bed rest for nine weeks trying to keep the other baby, then we had her five weeks early," Mrs. Baio says. "It was an emotional roller-coaster."

The pregnancy was recorded on Baio's celebreality show, "Scott Baio is 46... and Pregnant," the follow-up season to VH1's "Scott Baio is 45... and Single." It will premiere on Sunday at 10 p.m.
