Toni Collette Delivers New Daughter

Sixth Sense actress Toni Collette gives birth to first child. The Australian actress has delivered newborn daughter Sage Florence Galafassi with husband Dave Galafassi in her hometown Sydney on Wednesday.

"Both mother and baby are very well and very happy," the 35-year-old actress' rep says in a statement.

Collette - whose film credits include Little Miss Sunshine and In Her Shoes - announced her pregnancy in July. She said she and her husband were "completely over the moon" about their forthcoming child.

She had also said that she's found herself to be inclined for motherhood roles in her films.

"It is strange that in the last three films I've done I have been pregnant. I'm just like, 'What is the universe trying to tell me?' But I think everything happens when it's meant to."

Collette will be seen in the upcoming drama, The Black Balloon, slated to be released in Australia.
