Soul singer Mary J. Blige is denying reports that she has taken steroids. Blige's name showed up in an investigation that names celebrities have used performance-enhancing steroids and human growth hormones.

"Mary J. Blige has never taken any performance-enhancing illegal steroids," Blige's rep says, adding that the singer had not taken any anti-aging steroids either.

The investigation is conducted by the Albany County district attorney, P. David Soares. It names other artists such as 50 Cent, Wyclef Jean, Timbaland, and Tyler Perry.

Although the celebrities are not accused of violating the law, the investigation is focusing on stopping the flow of the drugs by stopping the doctors who illegally prescribe them, as well as clinics, pharmacies, and other distributors that supply the drugs.

The artists have allegedly been using the drugs for its anti-aging effects.
