Mel B wants a second wedding with husband Stephen Belafonte. The Spice Girls singer is planning a "huge celebrity wedding" for April after upsetting her family by secretly marrying last June and wants her bandmates to be bridesmaids.

A source said: "Mel has made up with her mother Andrea and wants to get all her family and friends together and have a huge celebrity wedding in April - and she has even asked her fellow band members to be bridesmaids."

"She wants all of her and Stephen's family to be at this wedding to make amends for them not being able to be present last time."

Mel lost contact with her mother in June after Andrea branded her secret wedding "a big mistake."

Mel's family were left distressed by newspaper reports claiming Stephen had drunkenly attacked his ex-partner Nicole Contreras, the mother of his three-year-old daughter Giselle.

But the source insists the family rift has been completely healed, adding to Closer magazine: "They've all been spending a lot of time together and Andrea and Stephen get on like a house on fire now. Mel is delighted."

"She has even made peace with her father Martin, which is great as they had a turbulent relationship since he split from her mother 10 years ago."

Mel began dating movie producer Stephen last February. The 32-year-old star has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and a nine-month daughter, Angel Iris, with former lover Eddie Murphy.
