Anna Nicole Smith's Death One Year Ago

Anna Nicole Smith died one year ago in a Florida hotel room, yet still, one year later, her death and certainly her life continues to draw attention.

Her daughter, 17-month-old Dannielynn, was recently escorted to the Bahamas by her father Larry Birkhead to visit Smith's grave. Cameras were on hand to capture the moment.

Birkhead and the toddler live in Smith's Los Angeles home, filled with pictures of Anna Nicole and her late son Daniel. Smith's son Daniel died just days after his baby sister was born.

Smith lived a whirlwind life, a life she modeled after Marilyn Monroe. Born in Texas, she married as a teen and worked at Wal Mart and Red Lobster. She also appeared in "Playboy" and was 1993 Playmate of the Year.

She drew even more attention when she married oil business executive and billionaire J. Howard Marshall, who was 63 years older than her.

Both Smith and her son Daniel died of a lethal combination of prescription drugs.
