Javier Bardem's Haircut Depresses Him

Javier Bardem's haircut has depressed him a lot. The 'No Country For Old Men' actor has confessed that his haircut for the movie has given him a "full-blown depression."

Bardem, 38, had his hair cut into a 70s style bowl-cut to look like a convincing sadistic killer in the movie. But the transformation had him so uncomfortable and embarrassed that he didn't want to go out anymore.

His co-star, Josh Brolin, says "He was depressed during the process. He felt like he wouldn't have sex for three months. Full-blow depression. I mean, bad. Didn't like the way he looked. He'd stay home for hours on end. He wouldn't go out."

Bardem, who is nominated for Oscar's Best Supporting Actor, reveals the cut has been rough on him. "You see yourself, you see the haircut. You don't realize that it's affecting you in a very delicate way, through your own psyche."

"What happened to me was that after a couple of weeks, I was a little bit - a little bit - strange to myself. There was something that was not familiar. It was like, 'What am I doing here?'"
