February 13, 2008 11:28 am CST

Jackie Chan is an actor, director, producer and well known for his kung fu and action films. He is also now a horseback rider, as Chan saddled up in Hong Kong Monday to shoot a promotional video for the 2008 Olympic equestrian events.

Chan shot a 30-second promotional video at the Hong Kong Jockey Beas River Country Club and Hong Kong Golf Club in Sheung Shut, New Territories.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is hoping Chan's promotion will draw more people to the equestrian events. The 53-year-old star is serving as a 2008 Beijing Olympics Goodwill Ambassador.

The Olympics will take place in Beijing, but the equestrian portion has been moved to Hong Kong due to substandard quarantine procedures in China.

Chan, who is Chinese, recorded the dialogue for the commercials in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Chan has been acting since the 70's and has appeared in over 100 films. He has received stars on the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
