Dennis Quaid's Twin Are Doing Great

Dennis Quaid's four-month-old twins are "doing great" following an accidental drugs overdose.

Dennis revealed his children Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace are now back to full health after they were left fighting for their lives when staff at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center administered too much of the anti-coagulant drug Heparin.

The 'Day After Tomorrow' actor and his wife Kimberly - who welcomed their twins into the world via a surrogate mother on November 8 - are now making the most of being parents.

He said: "The twins are doing great. We just lie around in bed with them and make funny faces and funny sounds and see how they react. They're starting to giggle, too."

The tiny tots were mistakenly given 10,000 units of Heparin - which stops the blood from clotting - but babies are only allowed to have 10.

Dr. Michael L. Langberg, Cedars-Sinai's chief medical officer, said at the time: "I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families who were affected by this situation. This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai."

Dennis also has a 15-year-old son Jack Henry from his marriage to Meg Ryan.
