Just like Nelly Furtado, Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Usher before him, rap superstar 50 Cent has announced that he will also donate the fee he was paid from playing a private gig for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to charity. 50 chose UNICEF to give the six to seven-digit fee he was paid when he headlined a private show in 2005.

Furtado first vowed to donate her \$1 million fee to charity. Usher also expressed regret for taking money from the Gaddafi family when he appeared at a 2009 New Year's Eve party in St. Barts. Beyonce, who was at the same party, also donated her \$1 million fee to earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

Last week, Carey, who performed for the Gaddafi clan in 2010 in St. Barts, announced that she plans to donate her paycheck, saying that she did not know her talent fee was coming from human rights violators.

And now, 50 Cent is following his peers' footsteps.

In a statement to E! News, his camp promised that the money will benefit be given to a charity to help relief efforts in Libya.

His rep said, "In light of the ongoing events in Libya, 50 Cent will be making a donation to UNICEF, which is providing vital relief supplies to meet the needs of women and children at risk during this crisis."
