"Britain's Got Talent" Champ George Sampson Nervous About Performing For The Royal Family

December 9, 2008

George Sampson is nervous about performing in front of Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

The 15-year-old dancer - who shot to fame after winning U.K. TV talent show "Britain's Got Talent" earlier this year - is set to show off his skills at the Royal Variety Performance in London on Thursday but admits he is worried about meeting the royal guests.

He said: "I'm quite scared. I'm not worried about the performance, that should be fine. It's just afterwards when we all have to line up to meet them. What if I say something really silly?"

"I'm just going to freestyle it and hope I don't let the nerves get to me."

However, George hopes he gets the chance to meet Charles' sons, Princes William and Harry.

He added to Britain's Radio Times magazine: "I would like to meet the princes though. I bet they're good dancers - though I'm not sure they're street enough."

If he does get to meet the young royals, George has promised to wow them with a new performance.

He explained: "I'm going to do something totally different. There won't be any artificial rain like my act on 'Britain's Got Talent,' but there'll be lots of special effects. I'll be singing too. It's an original song with an 80s theme."

"I don't want to give too much away, but it's going to be amazing."
