Former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Marrisa Jaret Winokur is about to be a mom. And according to the star she is rushing to get ready.
During a baby shower for the soon-to-be-new-mom on Monday at Manhattan's Hudson Hotel, Winokur explained that she and husband Judah Miller, a TV writer, were doing construction on their home when she left to compete on "Dancing With the Stars."
She said she has returned, although it is four months later, and she is in a total panic. The Tony-winner, who won the Tony for her role in the Broadway version of "Hairspray," is six weeks away from becoming a mom.
She and her husband are using a surrogate for the birth of their baby, due to the fact that Winokur is a cervical cancer survivor. Her treatment included a radical hysterectomy, leaving her unable to become pregnant.
The baby-on-the-way is a boy, and the couple will name him Zev. Winokur explained that is means wolf in Hebrew.
