"DWTS" Dancer Julianne Hough Successfully Completed Surgery

October 29, 2008

"Dancing With the Stars" professional dancer Julianne Hough has successfully completed her surgery to treat her endometriosis, a statement on her website says.

It reads, "Julianne has successfully completed her surgery in Los Angeles, and is at home resting comfortably."

The 20-year-old dancer and aspiring country singer was diagnosed with endometriosis last week after being admitted to the hospital with mild stomach pains.

Writing on her blog on Tuesday, Hough said she was not worried about her impending surgery and was actually "feeling good."

She wrote, "They say its three or four days of recovery. I'm thinking more like a week. Then I'll be able to work with Cody. But I won't be dancing for two weeks."

Hough is partnered with teen actor Cody Linley in "DWTS."
