"Fantastic Four" Star Ioan Gruffudd Becomes A Father For The First Time |

Ioan Gruffudd has become a father for the first time. The "Fantastic Four" star and his wife, actress Alice Evans, are thrilled after welcoming a daughter into the world on Sunday. Ella Betsi Evans Gruffudd weighed 6lbs 3oz when she was born in Los Angeles. Ioan, who met Alice on the set of "102 Dalmatians" in 2000 and married her in 2007, recently admitted he had "no idea" what to expect from fatherhood. He said: "It's been tough. I'm sure we have no idea what we are heading into. But we both love each other so much and really hope that we will create an environment of love and happiness." The couple knew the sex of the baby, but decided to only tell their close friends and family. Ioan also revealed he was doing everything he could to ensure his wife's first pregnancy went as smoothly as possible. The 35-year-old Welsh-born star explained: "It's been one long summer. I have basically been the best husband in the world - or trying to be." "You go from being lover to husband, lackey, taxi driver. You just have to have so many caps on." |
