"Glee" Star Dianna Agron Responds To GQ Shoot Controversy

"Glee" star Dianna Agron has apologized for the controversy that surrounds their sexy photoshoot for the November issue of GQ magazine. The 24-year-old actress, who plays head cheerleader Quinn in the Fox musical comedy, says the spread wasn't her favorite stint.

The Parents Television Council has fired off a scathing remark about the new "Glee" stars' cover on the men's magazine, saying as the actors - Agron, Lea Michele, and Cory Montieth - play high school students in the show, the sexy photos border on pedophilia.

They said, "It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on 'Glee' in this way. It borders on pedophilia. By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show's direction. And it isn't good for families."

GQ fired back in a statement released to The Insider, saying, "The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy. As often happens in Hollywood, these 'kids' are in their twenties. Cory Montieth's almost 30!"

"I think they're old enough to do what they want."

Agron has a different view on the matter. She said that while the photoshoot - in which both her and Michele are seen in skimpy clothes and underwear - was uncomfortable for the parents, it wasn't meant to be seen by their kids.

She started off her blog with: "I am not a representative of the three os us, the show, or Fox, only myself."

"In perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry. If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our in intention. And if your eight-your-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry."

"But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?" the actress couldn't resist to ask.
