"Harry Potter" Star Daniel Radcliffe Desperate For Dame Helen Mirren To Star In The Final Film

April 28, 2009

Daniel Radcliffe is desperate for Dame Helen Mirren to star in the final "Harry Potter" movie. The actor - who plays the teen wizard in the hit film adaptations of the best-selling books - is currently filming the last two installments of the franchise and would love to get the Oscar-winning actress to make an appearance along with Dame Judi Dench.

He said: "Helen Mirren and Judi Dench - those are the ones we need, but I don't know whether we'll get them. And for me - although he is still very much associated with the books because he voices the audio books - it would be Stephen Fry as well."

Although Daniel will be upset to say goodbye to Harry, he is looking forward to having more freedom with his career choices.

He added to Empire magazine: "We will never have anything like this again. I do think it's sad, but also I look forward to not having to tell people who say, 'Oh, we've got this great script, are you available this year?', 'No, but I will be available in four years' time!"
