Brunswick County, NC, United States (AHN Entertainment) - "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans was arrested Sunday night after assaulting another girl. The 19-year-old MTV reality show personality was booked into Brunswick County Jail, but was released shortly on bond. A warrant was issued for her arrest after police saw the fight on video, which is obtained by TMZ. The other girl in the video, Britany Truett, originally decided she's not pressing charges, but changed her mind over the weekend. The video shows Evans attacking Truett while her friends cheered on. She spewed insults at the woman before she punched her in the face. They continue to fight on the ground, where Evans carried on with her attack even after Truett couldn't defend herself anymore. When one of her friends pulled her off, Evans continued to insult the woman. It is not clear what started the fight, although TMZ sources said that it had something to do with Evan's boyfriend. Evans is charged with assault and "affray for fighting," and is due back in court April 26. Her attorney told the website, "Based on the information that I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up." |
