"Ugly Betty" Star Ana Ortiz Gives Birth To Daughter

Ana Ortiz has given birth to a daughter. The "Ugly Betty" star is "elated" after she and her husband, musician Noah Lebenzon, welcomed Paloma Louise into the world on Saturday.

A spokesperson for the star said: "She is elated and completely glowing. She is surrounded by her friends and family and so happy to be a mom. "She is just really enjoying the moment. The baby is absolutely beautiful."

Paloma - the couple's first child - weighed 7lbs 10oz when she was born at 4:25pm in New York.

Mark Indelicato - who plays Ana's son in "Ugly Betty" - is delighted by the news and says his 38-year-old co-star has the perfect maternal skills.

He said: "She will be an amazing mom. Ana has the biggest heart and she's so loving. She's also laidback and chilled but at the same time she's forceful and knows how to discipline someone if she has to be. It's the perfect combination in being a great mom. She's done it with me a bunch of times when I got out of line. She's definitely my second mom."

During her pregnancy, Ana said she was "really enjoying" the experience of carrying her first child.

She said: "I've heard lots of horror stories, but I'm actually really, really enjoying this."
