Affleck, DiCaprio and Styles, we know what they like

January 28, 2014 Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, Drew Barrymore, George Clooney, Justin Timberlake, Matt Damon, Pamela Anderson, Andy Roddick, Bon Jovi, Jason Giambi, Harry Styles, One Direction

We’ve all lost a bet or two in our lives haven’t we? Maybe a couple of pounds here or there, maybe even something higher, a hundred pounds or so. It’s nothing compared to the amounts that some celebrities have spent within casinos and through gambling. Research has been undertaken by Galacasino.com/ into the world of celebrity gambling.

Vegas is the favourite haunt for many of Hollywood’s most famous residents, and their casino of choice? The Palms. Ben Affleck is reported to play until dawn with $1,000 chips, and where Bruce Willis has reportedly been down $100,000. Other famous stars who attend The Palms include Pamela Anderson and Jason Giambi.

It’s not just Vegas either, America’s other gambling hotspot, Atlantic City has its fair share of celebrity fans. Borgata, a casino in Atlantic City, often plays host to stars like Jon Bon Jovi and Drew Barrymore.

Britain’s most famous child star at the moment, Harry Styles from the band One Direction, also has a penchant for gambling. Despite management placing a ban on him to stop him from going into casinos and placing bets (after losing big), he was pictures late last year gambling in Perth, Australia.

If you wanted to catch sight of George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio, then you’d best steer clear of Vegas and Atlantic City and follow Harry Styles of Australia. The two superstars, perhaps two of the best known actors in the world at the moment, prefer to gamble in Sydney, and are frequent visitors to casinos out there. The Crown Casino in Melbourne is also infamous for its guests, including Justin Timberlake and Andy Roddick.

The allure of casinos is captured perfectly in the film Ocean’s 11, and one of the finest scenes in that movie is towards the end, when the gang reconvene after their heist in front of a magnificent fountain in Las Vegas. One by one, they disappear off into the night after a job well done. The fountain is actually to be found in front of The Bellagio, and it’s incredible interior, full of chandeliers and beautiful architecture plays host to Matt Damon, who also starred in the film.

The celebrity lifestyle is one often associated with excess and big spending and these stories show that even now it is no different.
