After Kylie, Akon, Bollywood Calls Out To Shakira

Bollywood is the most happening destination as far as pop sensations are concerned. Following in the footsteps of Australian pop star Kylie Minogue and American rapper Akon, Colombian pop sensation Shakira will be making her Bollywood debut soon with a song in a yet-to-be-titled film.

The music for the film is being composed by the duo Salim-Sulaiman, who also worked with the South African singers in Shakira's FIFA World Cup song "Waka Waka," which recently made waves at the inaugural ceremony. The 33-year-old star is currently in talks with the composers regarding the contract.

Speaking to the press, Salim Merchant of the duo said, "We are in talks with her management. She seems to be really willing to collaborate and we are hoping a positive response in 5-6 days."

If things fall in place, the pop star would be recording for her cabaret number in the Bollywood film within a month's time.

This would not be the first time for Shakira to be in India as she performed live in Mumbai and other Indian cities about three years ago.
