Akon thinks a date with Lady Gaga would cure Britain's Prince Harry's broken heart. The 24-year-old royal split from his girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 23, last week after five years together.

Harry is said to be "gutted" by the split, but "Smack That" hitmaker Akon thinks he could help the prince recover - by setting him up with "Just Dance" singer Lady Gaga.

He said: "He needs to hang out with me. He'll get over her in two days. I'll hook him up with Lady GaGa."

The blonde singer - who has been number one on the British singles chart for the past three weeks - raised eyebrows this month, parading around London's freezing streets in jeweled underpants and a PVC boob tube.

Clarence House confirmed Harry and the Zimbabwean-born beauty had ended their relationship last weekend, and Chelsy has since changed her relationship status on networking website Facebook to: "Not in one."

The pair reportedly decided to go their separate ways after a "rough patch."

A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "She has simply had enough. They have been going through what she calls a 'rough patch' and she didn't see the point in going on."

"There has been talk of other girls - but Harry denied it. Chelsy felt it was time to call it a day."
