Angelina vs Jennifer - Who Got the Bigger Ring?

Everything in the lives of Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston is always compared, or viewed as some sort of competition - from clothes, bags and this time their engagement rings.

Angelina Jolie and her main squeeze Brad Pitt announced their engagement last week and the internet has been buzzing with gossip about the ring Brad got.

Word on the street has it that Brad’s newest ring purchase is not as pricy as the one he bought back in 1999.It is said that the ring that was made by Silva Damien for Jen cost him a whopping $500,000.Damien also made the pair’s wedding rings in 2000.

This time round, Brad chose designer Robert Procop to make him a ring that is estimated to be around $250,000.Reports have say that the ring could cost anything between $250,000 to $ 1m.Michael O’Connor, a jewelry expert, has however estimated that the ring is a 6-carat ring that could cost around $250,000.Speaking to Us Weekly, O’Connor said “Emerald cut diamonds have a fewer facets so they don’t have the sparkle of other cuts, that means they need to be the best quality”.

The pair has six children and the engagement means that they could be making things official really soon. Before this engagement, Brad was married to Jennifer Aniston and for a long time their marriage was viewed as a rare Hollywood Success until 2005 when Jen filled for a divorce.

Brad was also engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow, who he had dated from 1994 to 1997. The two had a much publicized romance. He popped the question to Gwyneth with a diamond ring in 1997.

Jolie on the other hand had been married to Billy Bob Thornton with whom she adopted her son Maddox from Cambodia. They had met on the set of the movie Pushing Tin in 1999.Their marriage however lasted for about three years.
