Anne Heche's Divorce Reaches Settlement

June 9, 2008

Anne Heche's divorce has reached a settlement Friday agreeing to pay ex-husband Coley Laffoon a $275,000 lump sum and $3,700 per month in child support for their son.

This is a big reduction from the temporary $15,000 a month support she had paid before. She said in May she could no longer pay the amount because she was out of work.

Heche, 39, will also have to pay 75% of their 6-year-old son Homer's private school tuition and half of his extracurricular activities.

After five years of marriage, Laffoon filed for divorce in February 2007.

The actress' ABC TV dramedy "Men in Trees" had been canceled in May. Its final episodes began airing on May 28.
