Barbara Walters has Chicken Pox and is in hospital

TV personality Barbara Walters has been hospitalized because she has Chicken Pox.

The 83-year old news anchor has never had the viral infection which many suffer when they are children.

So Barbara was missing in action on 'The View' and viewers knew she is recovering from the head injury she suffered when she fell and cut her head about a week ago.

However,Whoopi Goldberg had news for the viewers. She said Barbara is away because of something else,in addition to her head injury.

"She was running a temperature,but it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood",Whoopi said.

"Barbara has the chicken,She'd never had it as a child.So now she's been told rest,she's not allowed any visitors.

Whoopi joked saying she is advising Barbara not to scratch."We love you,We miss you,We just don't want to hug you",she added.
