Basketball Star Marko Jaric Not Engaged to Model Adriana Lima

Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Marko Jaric doesn't just jump for basketball shots, he also jumps for joy over his relationship with his girlfriend, Victoria Secret model Adriana Lima. He isn't jumping for joy, however, that the press is saying the two are engaged.

While the couple have been dating for six months, Jaric said it confuses him when he reads on the Internet that he has been checking out local jewelry stores for engagement rings.

The 29-year-old basketball player said he isn't ring shopping just yet.

While he says he isn't engaged to Lima, he says they are thinking about it. Jaric does say it would not be something splashed across in the headlines, that getting engaged is a life decision and a private thing and he would keep it his own secret.

Jaric said he is not usually a romantic guy, but being with the 26-year-old supermodel has changed him. He told People.com, "I was not the person to fall in love easily. I am a difficult person from that standpoint. Now it's a little different situation."
