Benicio Del Toro Reveals He Lost His Virginity At 13

Benicio del Toro lost his virginity aged 13. The 42-year-old actor first became interested in the opposite sex when he was a toddler, and claims it was a natural progression for him to sleep with a woman at such a young age.

He told Playboy magazine: "I remember liking girls in pre-kindergarten in Puerto Rico, when I was only three or four."

"I was about 13 when I lost my virginity, and that first experience was totally a nervous situation. It was in a house with someone I had known only a little bit. She was slightly older, and she'd done it before. I wasn't exactly a natural, but it was good. I had wanted it to happen for a while."

Benicio filmed a love scene with Halle Berry for 2007 movie "Things We Lost in the Fire," and admits he found it difficult to shoot.

He explained: "She was completely absorbed by her role, so you had to respect that. I think she was quoted as saying I was fun on the set. Maybe I wanted to relax the situation by joking around as a way to get over that."

"Maybe I was nervous and that was one of the ways to deflect that other tension."
