The "Crazy in Love" hitmaker - whose marriage to Jay-Z on April 4 was hidden from the public - insists that their love is real.

She tells the magazine, "What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real."

Although still tight-lipped about her nuptial, the 27-year-old star insists she didn't want an engagement ring because, "People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me."

And about the wedding being small and intimate, Beyonce explains that it's because she's not a "traditional woman."

"It's been my day so many days already."

Beyonce, who has recently debuted two singles from her new album, talks more in her interview with the magazine.
