Blake Lively's family is always there for her and that explains the actress' calm demeanor about her impending motherhood.

Speaking to the press during the L'Oreal Paris 2014 celebration in New York, the Gossip Girl alum said she'll lean on lessons learned from her mother Elaine and sisters Robyn and Lori while raising her child.

"If I could pass along anything that my mother or my sisters taught me I feel like my kids would be very well off," Lively, 27, said. "But also I'm fortunate enough to be amongst women like this…"

The event honoured women who've made a difference such as the 16-year-old Britney who started a charity to raise funds for cancer research and management.

Lively hoped that her child would look up to people such as Britney. "If I could pass along anything that my mother or my sisters taught me I feel like my kids would be very well off," Lively, 27, said on the red carpet at the L'Oreal Paris 2014 Women of Worth Celebration in NYC on Tuesday, Dec. 2. "But also I'm fortunate enough to be amongst women like this…"

The actress also said she was honoured to be in the company of such women. "At 16 years old I was getting a spray tan and trying to look like Christina Aguilera," Lively quipped, "so it's pretty cool to be in that company. [It's] humbling."

Talking about acting after motherhood, Lively reasoned, "To each their own. [My mom] had her own career and she raised five kids. She was superwoman and she was never satisfied by doing just one thing."
