Britain's Zara Phillips Sparks Engagement Rumors With Beau Mike Tindall

Britain's Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall have sparked speculation they are set to marry. The 28-year-old royal - the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth - and her rugby player beau are set to move into a $1.3 million home together, prompting rumors a wedding could be imminent.

The love birds bought the three-storey home in the West Country earlier this year, and have reportedly spent £250,000 on improving it. Friends of Zara have said she "can't wait" to begin her new life at the house.

Betting chain Ladbrokes has closed its books on bets the young royal will be the next member of the family to walk down the aisle after receiving a string of bets.

Zara - who is a keen equestrian and is the reigning Eventing world champion - and the 30-year-old sportsman met during the semi-final of the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

Mike has previously said he would love Zara even if she wasn't a member of the royal family, and is looking forward to having children with her.

He has said: "I would happily not work, learn to cook and stay at home with the kids. As a champion showjumper Zara can go on for longer than I can. Why shouldn't I stay at home?"

"I do believe in fate. If I hadn't been dropped from the England team, I would never have met Zara. I am head over heels in love. Zara is the love of my life, no doubt."

"I would love her if she worked behind a checkout. She just happens to be a princess."

Zara is not the only member of the royal family to spark rumors of a pending engagement.
