Brooke Shields children prefer their father to her. The U.S. actress says the couple's two daughters - Rowan Frances, five, and three-year-old Grier Hammond - treat her like "chopped liver," while her husband Chris Henchy is doted upon as though he's a "rock star god."
Brooke - who recently released her second children's book "It's the Best Day Ever, Dad!" - said: "He can go into the next room and then come back and they'll be like, 'He's back! He's back, Mom!' I'm like, 'He went into the next room. Am I chopped liver? I'm here the whole time!' They're like, 'Yeah, but he's here now!' So he's a rock star god to them and this book is a tribute to their relationship and what they do together."
The 43-year-old star - whose first novel "Welcome to Your World, Baby" focused on a little girl meeting her newborn sister - said she looked to her family life for ideas for her latest storybook.
She explained to U.S. TV program "The Today Show": "I feel like the relationship between little girls in particular - I only have little girls - and their dad is such a unique one."
