Cameron Diaz Thanks Fans For Support During Father's Death

Cameron Diaz has released a statement thanking her friends and fans who have given their support through her father Emilio Diaz's recent death.

Her rep reads the statement, "My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family."

"My dad was loved by so many people, and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."

Emilio had died Tuesday of pneumonia. He was 58. He was survived by his wife Billie and daughters Chimene and Cameron.

The shooting of Cameron's current film "My Sister's Keeper" was temporarily halted.
