Brits and their sarcasm are often lost on other people. Case in point - Cara Delevingne's recent disastrous interview.

The model and actress, whose interview with Good Morning Sacramento went viral, decided to share her side of the story.

“Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour,” the English supermodel and actress tweeted.

The awkward interview took place between Delevingne and anchors Kenneth Rudulph, Marianne McClary, and Mark Allen on Tuesday. After the reporters mispronounced her name as “Clara” and asked Delevingne if she’d bothered to read John Green’s novel, Paper Towns — the book on which her movie is based — the Brit appeared slightly annoyed.

“Uh, no. I never read the book or the script,” she replied sarcastically. “I kind of winged it. No, of course, [I did.] John Green is an incredible author, so really if you haven't read his books, you should.”

The anchors then went on to call the model out, saying she looked "exhausted" and "irritated." Their tirade continued even after she exited the interview.

Rudulph later tweeted, “Yeah, I could have asked a better question. That was my bad. LOL.” His colleague McClary, however, was not willing to back down, and posted another actor’s interview with the caption, ”Check out how a true class act deals with his jillionth interview: Sir Ian McKellan (sic)!”
