Chantelle Houghton in tears as she speaks about her split from Alex Reid

Celebrity Big Brother star .com/celebs/chantelle_houghton'>Chantelle Houghton got emotional as she opened up about her split from fiancé .com/celebs1/alex'>Alex Reid. Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, Chantelle broke down in tears as she told Ruth Langford and Eamonn Holms how hard it has been since the split.

She said she is going through hell because she is facing life as a single mother of their four month old baby Dolly Lexie Reid. She said every night is a horrible reminder of the fact that she will have to bring up her daughter alone.

She said “I’ve been through hell and back and feel I am in hell now. I can see the future and I will be happy again but now, things are really rough”.

“I never appreciated what it was like to be a single mum before, and I am in a very fortunate situation that I don’t have money worries. But it is hard going through a break up and being a single mum as well”, she continued.

“Obviously during the night it is like a horrible reminder when she wakes up and I am there on my own but you know, it is my life and I have got to get on with it”.

Reid proposed to Chantelle on RTE, the Saturday Night Show after having previously married glamour model .com/celebs/katie_price'>Katie Price. According to Chantelle, .com/celebs1/alex'>Alex had become a different person to the one she had met. She vowed that there is no way back after the break up.

“ There’s things about .com/celebs1/alex'>Alex that I didn’t know when I first met him and he wasn’t the person I met. He didn’t turn into the person I met in the beginning”, she said of her kick boxer fiancé.

She said “ I was really happy and it was everything I ever wanted, especially when I found out that I was pregnant. We were over the moon and were so happy and then stuff happened and it went from bad to worse”.

The 29-year old now single mother says she will concentrate on raising her daughter for now and does not plan on meeting a new man.
