Charlie Sheen's alleged bad boy reputation doesn't stop his fans from loving him. The "Two and a Half Men" star was given a standing ovation before and after the taping of the CBS show on Friday.

Insiders told TMZ that when the 44-year-old actor, who is facing a felony charge of menacing and misdemeanor charges of assault for allegedly attacking his wife on Christmas day, showed up on stage, the audience rose and cheered.

He filmed his spot from 7 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., again getting standing ovation at the end of the shoot. He returned to rehab in Malibu once the shooting was complete.

Sheen has pled not guilty to the charges. His trial will begin on July 21. In the meantime, he has checked into rehab as a "preventive measure."
