Charlie Sheen's Newborn Son Finally Released From Hospital

April 8, 2009

Charlie Sheen's son Max has been released from hospital. The "Two and a Half Men" star and wife Brooke Mueller - who welcomed twin boys, Max and Bob, into the world prematurely on March 14 - are delighted Max, who had to remain under medical supervision because he was underweight, has been allowed home.

Charlie's spokesperson Stan Rosenfield said: "Premature babies are often underweight. Max made weight and went home."

"It's frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you. This is the last week of 'Two and a Half Men' - which is going on hiatus - so Charlie and Brooke will be able to spend some quality time with their kids."

It had been reported that Max was suffering from a heart condition, but the actor was quick to quash the reports.

He joked: "The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term. I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food - I just didn't realize they that started so young!"

The twins are Charlie's first children with Brooke - who he married in May. He also has daughters Sam, five, and Lola, three, with ex-wife Denise Richards and 24-year-old daughter Cassandra from another marriage.
