Charlotte Church's Estranged Father Wants To Fix His Relationship With The Singer |

Charlotte Church's estranged father has pleaded for her to contact him. Stephen Reed - Charlotte's biological dad, who walked out on his family when the singer was just two - wants to be reunited with his daughter 20 years after he last saw her. He said: "Please get in contact with me, I still love you. It upsets me very much that much that I've got a grandchild who I don't know and another on the way, but what can I do?" Stephen, 44, claims Charlotte's view has been influenced and skewed against him, adding: "There are some people who are obviously trying to drive a wedge between us and keep us separated. People have told her things about me that are abhorrent." Charlotte's mother Maria changed her daughter's surname to that of her second husband, James Church, who adopted her. Stephen now lives in Cardiff with his new wife Alison and the couple has two sons. He says he has tried to make contact with former child star Charlotte on several occasions, but was shunned. Charlotte, 22, previously said about her biological father's side of her family: "They are strangers to me. I don't know if they are moral. Ignorance is bliss, I'm staying in my own ignorant bubble, right or wrong." |
