Chris Brown and publicist part ways following "GMA" incident

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - It can't be an easy job to make public perception of Chris Brown positive, especially following his latest outburst at "Good Morning America." So it's no surprise that Brown and publicist Tammy Brook are parting ways.

Brook, whose firm also handles clients like Mike Tyson and Kelly Osbourne, revealed that she's no longer working with Brown. In a statement released to TMZ, though, she does not make any reference to his latest antics.

"I am an entertainment/music publicist and was hired as a publicist as they often are to work specifically on his music publicity for the term up to the release of Chris Brown's 'F.A.M.E.' album, which was released on Tuesday March 22 and is entering the Billboard and iTunes charts at No. 1 this week," Brook said.

"I love and support Chris and it has been an honor to be a part of this album and I look forward to the possibility of working with him again in the future," she added.

All the bad press doesn't seem to be doing sales for Brown's latest album any harm. He's actually on track for his biggest first-week sales numbers yet.

While some sources are saying her exit was planned even before "Good Morning America," she wouldn't be the first publicist to jump a seemingly out-of-control star's ship. Recently Charlie Sheen's longtime publicist Stan Rosenfield quit after working with the star for years.
